The Challenge
The Iowa Association of Track Coaches (IATC) began in 1969 with one of Iowa’s best known Track & Field Coaches, Bill Bergan. The IATC has been blessed with outstanding leaders and, because of that leadership, the IATC offers coaches, athletes and fans opportunities in athletic competition, recognition of outstanding accomplishments, coaching assistance and information to make the Cross Country and Track & Field experience special.
Although the IATC had a website, there were many changes to be made. The site was poorly organized and lacked any navigational ability. Much of the content had to be downloaded to be read, and there was only one author for the site with no content management system. Along with that, there was a short timeline of only two months.
The Solution
The IATC has had many great leaders but needed a website that reflected all they have to offer. INS Web Development worked with the IATC to revamp the organization of the site and tripled the number of content pages to be read by the user. We built a new framework for the site and supplied content providers with the knowledge to update the site. With all of the changes, the site become more cost effective to administer and update. The Result
After launching the fully redesigned website in September, INS Web Development has been thrilled to see the results. In less than four months, there have been over 400,000 pages viewed and 18,000 visitors at the IATC website.Testimonial
"The Iowa Association of Track Coaches is proud of our website. The INS collaborative process resulted in an adaptive and self maintained site. They met tight completion schedules and provided excellent training. We have received numerous compliments and continue consulting with INS regarding future capabilities. They were the right choice."
